Free scan worked

Used the Free Basic Monitoring. It quickly showed me where my data was. Simple to use.

Good deal on Family Plan

I picked up the Family Plan because it seemed like the best way to protect everyone without breaking the bank. The annual plan discount made it a much better deal than paying monthly. We got everyone covered and it feels worth what I paid for the peace of mind. It's practical for a family looking for privacy.

Good for privacy stuff

I got the Core Plan a few weeks ago and it's been pretty solid. Like, I was kinda worried about all my info floating around online, but this service just takes care of it. No hassle, which is nice. Felt good knowing someone was handling that for me.

Extended Plan review

I signed up for the Extended Plan about a month ago. The data removal process seems to be working as advertised; I've gotten a few notifications already. Delivery of the service itself is instant, obviously. My only minor gripe is that the privacy dashboard could be a bit more intuitive. It's functional but feels a little clunky sometimes. Overall, good value for protecting my info.

Detailed look at Ultimate Plan

I decided to go with the Ultimate Plan a couple of months ago, primarily for the comprehensive data broker coverage and manual removal support. The initial setup was straightforward; I just provided the necessary info, and they got to work. So far, the delivery of removal reports has been consistent, showing me exactly which sites my data was removed from. I also tried their manual removal support for a specific site I was concerned about, and their team was responsive and helpful. The privacy dashboard is pretty informative, letting me track progress and understand my exposure. It helps me feel more secure online, which was the main goal for me.

Trustworthy service again

I've used Optery for a while now, first with their Core Plan and just recently upgraded to the Ultimate Plan. What always brings me back is how consistent they are. Every time, they just quietly do their thing in the background. My last upgrade was smooth, and I really like seeing the progress updates in the dashboard. It's a reliable service, and that's why I keep coming back for more protection.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime, or is there like a minimum commitment? And is there a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work out?

T Thomas Robinson 1 month ago
You can cancel anytime, it's not a contract. They do have a money-back guarantee too, I think it's for 30 days if you're not happy.

Yup, easy to cancel. And definitely a money-back guarantee, so you're covered if it's not what you expected.

Hey, I'm looking at the Ultimate Plan. How long does it usually take for them to actually get rid of your info from those sites? Is it like, instant or a few weeks?

J James Carter 3 days ago
It's not instant, no. From my experience, the first round of removals took a few weeks to start showing up as cleared. They do ongoing scans though, so they keep at it.

Yeah, I'd say give it about 3-4 weeks for the initial sweep to really kick in. But they scan monthly after that, so new stuff gets caught too.

How do you actually apply a coupon code at Optery? Is it during checkout or earlier?

J James Anderson 2 weeks ago
You enter the coupon code during the checkout process, usually on the payment page before you finalize the purchase.

Yeah, it's at checkout, there's a box for it then. Pretty standard.

Anyone know if Optery is generally considered better than DeleteMe? I'm trying to decide between them.

N Nathan King 1 month ago
I used DeleteMe for a while then switched to Optery. Honestly, I think Optery found more listings for me and the dashboard is easier to use. Felt like it was more thorough.

They both do similar stuff. Optery covers a huge number of data brokers though, like hundreds. I'd check their list and compare if there's specific brokers you're worried about that one might miss.

does optery have any kind of free trial? or at least a way to see what they find before committing to a plan?

S Sarah Wright 2 weeks ago
They have a free basic monitoring thing, it's not a full trial but it'll show you where your info is popping up. Gives you an idea before you pay.

Yeah, the free scan is pretty good. It'll show you your exposure report without having to sign up for anything, so you can see if it's worth it for you.
